Goat Trail & Big Bluff

Hiking

The Goat Trail and Big Bluff

Length: 6 miles roundtrip, 4 hours
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous

Description: The first two miles of this Ozarks trail meanders through deep Ozarks forest and leads to the Big Bluff that is over 500 feet tall. The trail is tight in places (where it gets the Goat Trail name) and not suitable for young children. This trail has some of the best views in the Ozarks and overlooks the Buffalo National River.

Directions: Travel south on Highway 43 from Harrison for 21 miles to the Centerpoint trailhead located on the left side of the highway. Take Centerpoint to the Goat Trail spur. This trail section is not for beginners and can be dangerous along the bluff line which is very tight, so be careful!
